Visually inspect the tree. Are there any visual cavities, insects, animals or sawdust? If you answered yes to any of these, then call us to conduct a more thorough inspection.

This is most likely a type of fungus. Some types are harmless to your tree, but an assessment should be scheduled to make sure.

Why should i hire someone who is licensed and bonded to remove my tree?
Ripley Enterprises is licensed and bonded because we are a professional company who is committed to the safety of your property and our crews. Someone who is not licensed or bonded most likely has not completed extensive safety and tree removal training, nor do they carry adequate coverage should something happen to your home or property during tree removal.

Does your staff have safety training?

Yes, Ripley Enterprises crews are required to attend annual safety training, along with weekly safety meetings. We are continually training on proper safety procedures for tree removal and equipment handling. The safety of your property and our crew members is our top priority.

There is a "netting" in an area of my tree - is that a pest infestation?
This is nothing to be alarmed about if it is just in a localized area of your tree. If it is widespread, then please contact us for an assessment.

What do you do with trees/branches you remove from my yard?
When Ripley Enterprises prunes or removes trees on your property, we will remove everything upon completion. Our Green Policy states that we will recycle all trees, branches and plant material from your job. We have our own chipper that allows us to mulch all branches on site. We can leave the mulch for you or take it with us for proper disposal. All logs are removed and recycled – nothing goes into the landfill.

What do i do if a tree falls in my yard during a storm?
Contact us anytime – we offer 24 hour emergency service!

Do i need to have my soil tested before planting new trees?
It is not necessary to test your soil prior to planting new trees, but it could be helpful. Soil with proper PH levels will provide the right amount of essential nutrients to the trees.

What do i do if a tree that needs to be removed hangs over my neighbors property line?
We suggest speaking with the neighbor about trees or limbs that protrude onto their property. Make sure they understand the need to safely remove these prior to them and let them know the date planned for removal. Get permission to access their property if needed for safe removal.
